Mikayl's 10th Bday
Mikayl had a great birthday sleepover party. It was a small party, just my 2 nieces and Amaiya, which was enough for me to handle all by myself. I love having a house where the kids can all go outside or upstairs to play and I can't even hear them! And a huge kitchen to make treats. I decided to be as crafty as possible. We had pizza with strawberry lemonade slushies, cupcakes baked inside ice cream cones (decorated by the girls with frosting) and home made rocky road ice cream! It was all very yummy, and quite a learning experience for me. As always, the girls performed a play for us. Amaiya was marrying a large stuffed whale and the other girls were bridesmaids and a dog. It was quite comical. They had a great audience, me and Jefferson, Jeff & Crystal and Jenny & Justin, who arrived just in time. We also painted frig magnets. It was so much fun, maybe more for me, I'm not sure. I've just always dreamed of having this life and now it's here, I am so thankful. Mikayl had a great time with her new bike. It's been a few weeks since she got it and has been wanting to practice everyday. She's getting better every time she rides. Her fear is decreasing with each ride. We're so proud of her.
1st Anniversary
We had a wonderful 1st anniversary on Wednesday June 25th. Jefferson was off that day from work, which worked out well and then we got Mikayl that night for our midweek visit. It was so nice that we were all together in our new house. We spent the evening helping Mikayl unpack her room and making plans for painting and such later on. It was very relaxing, which is the theme of everything we do these days since we've been running around like crazy packing and moving for the past couple of months. Crystal came over and took some pictures of us to help us celebrate our first anniversay on the lawn and front steps of our new home. We are excited to be living here. We've met our neighbors and they are great. We have a really quiet street with a cul de sac for riding bikes with mountain views, its just awesome. We can't believe it has been a year since we;ve been married already! Time flies by so fast. We are so thankful to have the marriage we do and hope to never take it for granted.

Father's Day 08
Well we had a great Father's Day today. After a long night sleeping with a violent Mikayl, we ate a big breakfast for the Dad's (Jeff & Jefferson) and then went our seperate ways. Mikayl and I took Jefferson to the movies to see Kung Fu Panda (it was so funny!) and shopping to spend some of his birthday money. Then we came home, well Jeff & Crystal's home, and had a typical summer cook out complete with Watermelon and Brats.
Living in our temporary home at the Harper's in Herriman has been such a blessing to us. We have all had tons of time with Noah and Ava. They are such easy kids to watch. We all went yard saling yesterday and found some great tiems for only $20. We got Mikayl 2 end tables for her new bedroom and a drafting table for Jefferson to do his artwork. But as much as we love living here temporarily, we can't wait to start living in our new house! Only a week from tonight will be our first night sleeping after a long weekend of moving. We so appreciate the Harper's generosity housing us for these 2 weeks, as we know it must not be easy on them to have other people in their space 24/7.
Hope all you Dad's out there also had a great Father's Day today!!
